Woman Shot Near Busy Intersection In Westchester

A woman was hospitalized Monday night after being shot near a busy Westchester intersection.

Police said that a woman suffered a gunshot wound at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 near the intersection of Third Street and Third Avenue in Mount Vernon.

She was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other information was immediately available.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. According to a News12 report, police have reviewed surveillance video from nearby Top Deli.
